Deanna Paolucci, (H)B.A., LL.B.

Deanna Paolucci (she/her) brings a diverse and unique legal perspective to her career, in that she has worked with a variety of legal systems from around the world before gaining legal experience here in Ottawa.  From criminal defense work in Australia, to international law for a German law firm, to working with the Somali pirates in Kenya with the UNODC, Deanna was educated through a variety of experiences in many unique circumstances.

 

Deanna obtained a B.A. Honors degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Carleton University (2006) and an LL.B. from the University of Notre Dame (2011).  She then obtained her Canadian law equivalency through the successful completion of the NCA exams (2013) and was called to the Bar by the Law Society of Upper Canada (2014).  Deanna is a Barrister, Solicitor and Notary Public, and is also a government appointed Children's Lawyer through the Office of the Children's Lawyer.

When not practicing law, Deanna enjoys woodworking, yoga, travelling, and spending time with family.

Tasha Stansbury, (H)B.A., J.D., LL.M.
Articling Student

Tasha Stansbury (she/her) is currently completing her articles at Paolucci Law. She is a Ph.D. student at the University of Ottawa, having recently completed her LL.M. (University of Ottawa, 2021) and J.D. (University of Windsor, 2020). She also holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Equity Studies (University of Toronto, 2016). Tasha is passionate about social justice and employs a client-centred approach in all of her work.

 

When she’s not working, Tasha can usually be found either curled up on the couch with a novel or exploring the outdoors with her rescue dogs, Ciri and Geralt.
